Hi Year 1. I hope you are well. If you are missing our RE sessions, I have some things you may like to look at. This half-term we have been finding out about Moses and why stories about him are so important to Jewish people. Last week we found out about the 10 Plagues of Egypt and how the Jewish people escaped from Egypt. Every year Jewish people remember this with a festival called Pesach or Passover. This festival has lots of special foods and traditions. To find out more, watch the videos below. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z3n34wx https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0114w71 https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p011426q Enjoy finding out about Passover. Lots of children around the world are making rainbows to put up in their windows as a sign of hope and cheer. People have used paints, colour pencils, felt tips, coloured paper and all kinds of other things to make their colourful creations. One family cut out hearts in each colour of the rainbow to make a rainbow of love.
Have any of you made a rainbow to go in your windows? Keep a look out on Mrs Holding's well being distance learning page on our school website. (COVID 19, Well being tab) The Year 1 team x |
