We have another battle of the bands on TTRS set up to start next week on Monday 27th April. So far it's definitely against 10 other schools but could be as many as 18-20 as the days go by! We can't wait to see how many points Crickets and GBS achieve!
Good morning Year 1.
I hope you are all well. I don't know about you but I am really missing our Singing Assemblies together so I thought I'd have a bit of a sing today. The lovely people at Sing Up have put some of their great songs on their website for everyone to sing along with. This week their Song of the Week is One Moment, One People. https://www.singup.org/singupathome/song-of-the-week There is a teaching video with Beccy Owen to help you learn the song and lower down the page you can play the music and sing along. I hope you enjoy it. It's a really wonderful song. Mrs Holding We hope you are all having a wonderful Easter break :-) After Easter, Year 1 will be beginning to use Google Classrooms to access their online learning. By now your child should have had an invite to this through their Google email address (please check you have this before next Monday!) When the children log onto Chrome there will be an icon in the apps section to take them straight to the classroom. The icon looks like this...... The first time you click on this, you will be asked to "join" the class.
The children will then be able to see a "stream" tab at the top where messages can be read and posted by everyone in the class. Our daily register will also be available to complete on here. Across the top is also a "classwork" tab where our weekly timetable is posted along with all work set for the week. We have put everything under subheadings so that it is easy to find and named all activities with the day and date they are to be completed. We have attached Google documents to use, should they be needed, for that particular activity. CLASSWORK FOR WEEK COMMENCING 20/04 WILL BE POSTED ON MONDAY 20TH APRIL AT 8AM We hope the children enjoy this way of learning and we look forward to seeing them at our virtual classroom from Monday 20th April. Many Thanks The Year 1 Team x Happy Friday Year Ones!

This half-term we have been finding out about Moses and why he is so important to Jewish people. To finish off this unit of work you could draw a picture of Moses. Which part of the story will your picture be from? When Moses was a baby? When he saw the burning bush? When he spoke to Pharaoh about setting the Hebrew people free? Or when he parted the Red Sea to allow them to escape? You decide! Mrs Holding x |
